Coding the Next Build

Now we have implemented Continuous Integration and many times Continuous Delivery in our projects, all our code is in GIT. So nothing can go wrong anymore. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. We may end up with complex build and build environment that are customised for the project and so on. Is the configuration of your build system and the build configuration version controlled? In most cases, it is not.

In this talk, I will show you how easy it is to set up your build environment with Docker and Docker Compose. I start with coding the build infrastructure. Next, I will show how you can run your build in a container. Finally, when we have coded the build infrastructure and builds, we can put it all in source control.
